I love to play with layers of color, and the fluid mediums I use allow me to combine colors in the most interesting ways imaginable. I especially like to incorporate inks into my work; they have such brilliant colors and fun, unpredictable and random properties. This can be a good thing, as long as you let go of your inner control freak. They lend themselves particularly well to the floral designs and abstracts I like to paint.

I start with an idea, a thought, a feeling -- the colors and the flow carry it from there. I often begin a painting with one intention, and the finished painting is nowhere near where it was when I started!

so, I am busy creating, both in CT and FL. The pandemic was a creative boost - all that time cooped up indoors.

At first my art supplies were going to travel back and forth between north and south. Now they live in both places.
